HISTORY
- Falling in love for the first time, maybe. It was just around this time, two years ago. His friends dragged him to a fashion show and he fell hard for Wendla Lenevski, one of the models. They dated for the next two years and were close to getting married.
- Some time this year, Arthur found Wendla in their bed, with another man. After an argument that could be heard throughout the whole neighbourhood, he packed up his stuff and left for Long Beach Island
- Getting spotted by an agent during one of his theatre performances. He was playing Macbeth for a community production, and they picked him out. His first job catapulted him into the limelight.
- The death of his sister. He still feels like it was his fault. He was meant to be looking after her when their parents went to dinner. He let her go to a party and drank too much alcohol with her friends. They decided to drive and of course, they got into a crash.
- His sister's death caused a lot of downward spiral in Arthur's llife. He started drinking more, going off the rails. Paparazzi caught him every time, at his worst. He would bring random girls home and spend his days moping and drinking. Maybe that's what drove Wendla into the arms of another.
- Quitting school. He quit university to pursue acting. He was accepted into Oxford but he declined the enrolment when the acting gigs came along. This strained his relationship with his parents, even if he was succeeding in the acting business.
- Winning an Academy Award and a BAFTA was a pretty important part of his life. He felt that he was never taken seriously as an actor, and when he won those awards, that was the first time he considered himself to be a serious, concrete actor and not just some teen pretty boy.
- Filming a movie in a war-torn country. That really did set things in perspective for him.
- His first play. When he was 12, he joined the community drama club because of boredom. Not only did he discover a natural talent with acting but he got girls in the drama club who had a crush on him, and he received his first kiss. Score.
- The first time he had to babysit his sister. He was terrified. They went to the park and when she was nowhere to be seen, he started to freak out. As it turns out, she was reading quietly behind the slides. It was a small experience, but it was an important event to him because he learned of responsibility through it, especially towards his sister.
